The darker roots contain more nutrients and are therefore more potent, giving quicker results. It is also unique in that it is gelatinized at under 45 degrees, which preserves these nutrients and can be technically classed as raw. Unlike ungelatinized raw Maca this allows its unique properties to be fully absorbed by the human body and can help avoid gastric disturbances.
